Range Description: Because of the lack of taxonomic studies and knowledge about this species, its distribution is unclear. Neritina fuliginosa (Theobald, 1859) was recorded from Burma (as Theodoxus fuliginosa; Preston 1915), but this may be a homonym of the species described by von dem Busch, 1853 (F. Köhler pers. comm. 2011).
