Range Description: Aethriamanta brevipennis is widely distributed across the Indo-Malayan region, occurring in Sri Lanka (Fraser 1920), southern and eastern India (Selys 1891, Fraser 1920, 1924, 1931, 1936; Fraser and Dover 1922, Dasgupta 1957, Prasad and Varshney 1995, Mitra 2002), Bangladesh, Myanmar (Selys 1891), Thailand (Tsuda 1991) and Peninsular Malaysia (Lieftinck 1954, Choong et al. 2008) and south to Sumatra (e.g. Lieftinck 1954).
