Habitat and Ecology: This erect or creeping undershrub is found in wastelands, grasslands and thickets and as a weed in gardens.

Use and Trade: In Indo-China the whole plant is used in the treatment of eye problems and headache (Setyowati-Indarto and Brink 1999).

Major Threat(s): There are no known threats to this widespread species.

Conservation Actions: There are no conservation measures in place or, at present, needed for this common and widespread species. It may occur in protected areas within its range, for example, it is reported to be present in the Jiulianshan Nature Reserve, South Jiangxi in China. It is listed in the CIAT - Tropical forages germplasm collection. It is also listed as a species of Dehra Dun Botanical Garden in India (Chakraverty 2003).
