Geographic Range [top]
Range Description: Tropical Asia: Sri Lanka, India and Australia (Cook 1996). In India, the species is distributed in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu (Cook 1996, Lakshminarasimhan 1996, Singh et al. 2001). Apart from these the species is also known from Sindhudurg of Maharashtra state (Lakshminarasimhan 1996) and Balaghat of Madhya Pradesh (Verma 2001). Gamble (1928) reported the species from Kambakkam Hills in Chinglepet (now in Andhra Pradesh), Mysore and S.Kanara (now in Karnataka) and Malabar and Quilon districts (now in Kerala).
