Range Description: The species occurs from Sri Lanka and India east through Nepal to southern China (Guangdong, Guangxi, Henan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, southern Shanxi, Taiwan, Yunnan) and Japan, and south through Indochina, the Malay Peninsula, the Philippines and Indonesia to Australia (eFloras 2011). It is apparently naturalised in North America.
