Range Description: Eriocaulon xeranthemum is distributed in tropical Africa, central Himalayas, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal and Thailand (Ansari and Balakrishnan 1994, 2009). In India it is reported from Andaman Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Goa, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal (Cook 1996).
