Range Description: Fimbristylis pubisquama is distributed in Australia, Indonesia, Viet Nam and Indochina (Myanmar and Sri Lanka). In India it is reported from Tamil Nadu (Cook 1996) and Maharasthtra (Sindhudurg) (Lakshminarasimhan1996). Report from Tamil Nadu is based on White and Roxburgh collection made in 1870s but the species is not included in Tamil Nadu analysis by Bhargavan (1989).
