Range Description: The species occurs in Myanmar, through Thailand, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Viet Nam, Malaysia, Moluccas Islands (Indonesia), Borneo, Sumatra, Java and the Philippines. In the Philippines there are records from Palawan Island (Heaney et al. 1998).

Habitat and Ecology: This species roosts in rock crevices, in hollow bamboo, and in banana leaves in Peninsular Malaysia (Payne et al. 1985). Habitat and ecological requirements are unknown in the Philippines (Heaney et al. 1998).
