Range Description: This species is known only from two specimens collected in 1875 "at a hill stream debouching [= flowing] into the Irrawady at the second defile [= narrow gorge]" (Anderson 1879) in the Myanmar-Yunnan Province (China) border region.

Population: It has not been recorded again since it was first described, and results from recent surveys of the type locality are not yet available (Wogan pers. comm.).

Habitat and Ecology: No further information is known regarding its habitat and ecology, other than that the type specimens came from a montane stream. This species presumably breeds by larval development.
