Threats [top]
Major Threat(s): The Trewavas Croaker is of minor commercial importance to fisheries, as by-catch.
Due to the coastal nature of this species, it is likely to be suffering localised declines from threats relating to water pollution and coastal development.
Conservation Actions [top]
Conservation Actions: There are no species-specific conservation measures in place for the Trewavas Croaker. However, it may occur in a number of marine protected areas. Further research is needed to determine the abundance of this species and how it may be impacted by threats such as pollution and incidental mortality through by-catch
