Geographic Range [top] Range Description: This species is distributed from islands of the western Indian Ocean (Seychelles, Reunion, Madagascar), the Red Sea and India east to Japan, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Palau, Federated States of Micronesia and Marshall Islands. There is also a record from Mauritius (MNHN). Records from Fiji are erroneous.
