Range Description: Lamellidens generosus has been recorded from Houngdaran River and Pegu in Myanmar (Preston 1915, Subba Rao 1989). In India, it is found in Arunachal Pradesh, and West Sighbhum in Jharkhand (Ramakrishna and Dey 2007). It is presumed to have a wide distribution in the Ganges and Brahmaputra river drainages in India and Bangladesh.
