Range Description: Dang et al. (1980) list this species in two localities. It is distributed only in northeast Viet Nam where Bang river in Cao Bang province and Lo river in Phu Tho province are the most important sites. However, it may be possibly extinct in Viet Nam as no specimens have been found in the last 30 years in spite of the survey work conducted in the area.

Population:
This species is rare and there is very little information on its population. It has not been found again in spite of the survey work carried out in the area and therefore population decline has been observed.
