Range Description: The species occurs from Pakistan east through India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal to southern and eastern China (Anhui, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Yunnan, Zhejiang) and south through Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Viet Nam to Peninsular Malaysia. It is apparently extinct in Bangladesh (Ahmed et al. 2009, eFloras 2011).
