Population [top]
Population: The species has disappeared from Lao (was found in 2007 and could not be relocated in 2009 as the habitat had been removed). The situation in China and Myanmar is unknown. It can be inferred that there has been at least a 30% population reduction in the last 30 years.

Habitat and Ecology [top]
Habitat and Ecology: Grows in lowland evergreen forest on soils derived from limestone.
Systems: Terrestrial
Generation Length (years): 5-10
Use and Trade [top]
Use and Trade: This species is not known to be used or traded.
Threats [top]
Major Threat(s): In Lao, the only known subpopulation was presumably destroyed through clearance of the habitat for a rubber tree plantation. The situation in Myanmar and China is not known, but the same is very likely to have happened in China.
Conservation Actions [top]
Conservation Actions: It is not known if the species occurs in any protected areas. Surveys are required to see if the species occurs in Myanmar and to determine the situation in the Chinese part of its range.
