Lipocarpha gracilis is a pantropics species. In India, it is known from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, West Bengal and Orissa (Cook 1996, Lakshminarasimhan 1996 and Pulliah 1997).
