Major Threat(s): Extensive clearing and destruction of forest has resulted in populations of Magnolia henryi becoming scarce and threatened, especially in Thailand where the habitat has declined substantially. Logging for firewood is considered a threat to this species.

Conservation Actions: There are no known in situ conservation actions for Magnolia henryi and there are five known ex situ collections in arboreta and botanic gardens worldwide. Further research into population numbers and trends would be desirable.
