Conservation Actions [top]
Conservation Actions: There are no specific conservation measures in place for this species. It may benefit from existing protected areas, for example, it is recorded from the Mahananda wildlife sanctuary in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India (HKH conservation portal 2008). There is relatively little information available about the habitat and ecology of this species, and the current population status and trends, and further research is recommended to better determine its current conservation needs. Also confirmation of its taxonomic status (which in the present assessment is based on that of Kumar and Sane (2003)) is needed to verify its distribution. It was not found in available lists of seed bank and botanic garden species.
