Range Description: Species distributed in central temperate and tropical Asia. The species, as a whole, is more widely distributed than any other Millettia, covering 40 degrees of latitude and 20 of longitude (Dunn 1912).

Habitat and Ecology: Millettia pulchra is a shrub or tree which occurs in open places of lowland woodlands, thickets, grasslands, sparse or mixed woodlands and woodland margins.

Major Threat(s): There are no known major threats to this species overall, although it is listed as conservation dependent in Bangladesh where is threatened by habitat loss (Encyclopedia od Flora and Fauna of Bangladesh).
Conservation Actions [top]
Conservation Actions: The species in known to occur within protected areas throughout its range such as Mouling National Park in India and Muong Nhe Nature Reserve in Vietnam. Seeds have not yet been collected as an ex situ conservation effort. One collection is known to occur in a Botanical Garden.
