Range Description: The nominate subspecies occurs in Myanmar, southwestern China (Yunnan) and northern Thailand, with intermediate forms (between the subspecies Mnais andersoni andersoni and M. a. tenuis) occurring in Vietnam and Laos (Asahina 1975a,b,c). The subspecies M. a. tenuis is common and widespread throughout much of central and southern China and Taiwan.
