Habitat and Ecology: Terrestrial or epiphytic in mossy forest on sandstone ridge tops, from 1,500 m to approximately 1,800 m altitude.

Major Threat(s): There do not appear to be any overt threats to N. pilosa at present, as it has no known uses and the region in which it grows is largely undisturbed. However further studies are required o determine if there are any threats.
