Citation Description Geographic Range [top] Range Description: This species is distributed in the Indo-West Pacific region including: the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, the Andaman Sea, northern Laccadive Sea, south of Sri Lanka, the Philippines and Indonesia (Holthuis 1991, Zarenkov 2006). The type locality of this species is "Investigator" Station 177, in the Arabian Sea north of the Laccadive Islands at a depth of 1,163 m (13º4749N 73º7E) (Holthuis 1991).
