Range Description: This species was known only from Doi Nang Ka, Thailand. It was recently also collected on Doi Pha Hom Pok. The extent of occurrence is approximately 270 km² and the area of occupancy is 12 km².

Population: A few hundred mature individuals are known, but the exact population size is not known. The population is thought to be decreasing due to burning at the southern sites.

Habitat and Ecology: It grows on thin soil over rocks in montane scrub forest between 1,700 and 2,000 m.

Major Threat(s): Fires, set by people for hunting, are a threat in at least one of the localities. One of the subpopulations (northern) is right next to a road and reconstruction and expansion of the road could destroy this subpopulation.

Conservation Actions: This species is found in a national park. The locality in the north should be protected, while the management of the subpopulation in the national park needs to be improved.
