Range Description: This species is known from four localities, Napal Licin, Sungai Durian, Merangin, in Jambi and West Sumatra Provinces, Indonesia (Iskandar and Mumpuni 2004, Kurniati 2008, D. Iskandar and A. Hamidy pers. comm. May 2017). Its altitudinal range is 50–700 m asl.

Habitat and Ecology: This species inhabits lowland tropical forest habitats near streams (Iskandar and Mumpuni 2004, Kurniati 2009, D. Iskandar and A. Hamidy pers. comm. May 2017). It may be tolerant of slight habitat disturbance (D. Iskandar and A. Hamidy pers. comm. May 2017). This species is presumed to breed in streams, adopting a larval development breeding strategy.
