Geographic Range [top]
Range Description: Only known from the type collected on Kao Roop Chang in Padang Besar, Thailand on 11 July 1986, it has not been relocated despite further attempts to find it. The type collection was made at an altitude of about 100 m.

Population [top]
Population: The current population size and trend are unknown. It is only known from the type collection. It has not been refound despite a survey in the type locality. It was already very rare when the type collection was made (J. Maxwell pers. comm. 2011). If the species still exists the population must be extremely small and certainly fewer than 50 mature individuals; but it might have disappeared already.

Habitat and Ecology: This species was collected on karst limestone in direct sun.

Major Threat(s): There is a temple at the base of the mountain. However, this species is only known from the top of the mountain, which is not easily accessible.
