Geographic Range [top]
Range Description: The species was only known from the type locality, the Mun River at Rasi Salai, in eastern Thailand. It has not been collected again at the type locality since it was described by Brandt (1974) and its status at this site is uncertain, despite regular surveys for molluscs each year in the last 20 years (P. Sri-anoon pers. comm. 2011). There are ANSP Museum specimens from Amphoe Selaphum on the Mun River collected in 1971, and in 2001 P. Sri-anoon (pers. comm. 2011) found two specimens of the species at a second site on the Mun River, in Warim Champrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
