Range Description:
Polypleurum wallichii is known from northeastern India, Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Thailand. In India, it is distributed in Meghalaya and Assam. It has also been reported from Kannur, Kozhikode and Palghat of Kerala.

The species has been recorded in Khao Yai National Park in Thailand. More research in species ecology and population status is recommended. The identity of the population occurring in southern India needs to be established taxonomically.
