Geographic Range [top] Range Description: The species is known from the Himalayan and Indo-Gangetic Plains (Roberts 1994) and also from Nepal and Bangladesh. This species is present in the Western Ghats of India where it is rare and in fragmented populations; it is possible that this species is accidentally introduced in southern India (Rema Devi and N. Dahanukar pers. comm.).
