It has been shown to persist in remnant rainforest in southern Yunnan (Zhu et al. 2010). It has also been recorded from agricultural field margins and degraded and secondary forest in Thailand. Systems: Terrestrial Threats [top] Major Threat(s): The main threat to this species is the loss of its forest habitat. Forests in the Northern Indochina subtropical forest ecoregion, where this species occurs, have been degraded, cleared and fragmented (Carpenter et al. 2001). The main causes are shifting cultivation and logging. However, this species may tolerate some disturbance, as it has been found in field margins and secondary forest. Conservation Actions [top] Conservation Actions: There are no specific conservation measures in place for this species. It is found in the Doi Phahom Pok National Park in northern Thailand, however, most specimen records fall outside protected areas. It was not found in available lists of seed bank or botanic garden species. Further research is needed to establish its current population status and trends since there is a lack of population data.
