Habitat and Ecology [top]
Habitat and Ecology: This species occurs on soft substrates of mud and sand at depths of 520-683 metres (Holthuis 1991). Ovigerous females have been found in April (Holthuis 1991).

Use and Trade: This species is not currently considered a commercial species, however Holthuis (1991) considers this species to have the potential to become a commercial species, due to the relatively large numbers collected in one haul (Siboga Station: 23-38 specimens caught) and its presence on soft bottoms (Holthuis 1991).
