Range Description: Schoenoplectus corymbosus is a perennial, rhizomes horizontal, short, thick and woody grass. It is widely distributed in Old World tropics (Asia, Africa and Australia). In India, it is only confined to Karnataka, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal (Cook 1996). Recent collections confirmed its presence in wetlands of southern Spain and Morocco (Jimenez-Mej?as et al. 2007).
