Range Description: Only known from the type-series of 20 males and one female: North Moluccas, Indonesia. Collection notes: "Batjan Island, Salawaku River, 50-100 m, 12-13 June 1953, A.M.R. Wegner et al. Holotype male and female in Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Histoire. Rest of material in Museum Zoologicum Bogoriense and the British Museum of Natural History".
