Range Description: This species occurs in northern Viet Nam (Tam Dao, Vinh Phuc Province) and the Chinese provinces of Guizhou and Guangxi (Orlov et al. 2000, Nguyen et al. 2009). This species has been found between 600 and 1,100 m above sea level in Tam Dao (Orlov et al. 2000), and from 500 to 1,800 m asl. across its range.

Habitat and Ecology: In Tam Dao, this fossorial species is known to occur in a region of evergreen forest (Orlov et al. 2000). Zhao (2006) reports it from hilly areas at 1,800 m. It is oviparous and feeds on invertebrates.
