Range Description: This species is distributed throughout much of South East Asia, from Assam in India, Myanmar, southern Laos and Thailand to peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, Sumatra (Indonesia) and Palawan (Philippines). This gives the species a very large extent of occurrence. The area of occupancy is much smaller for this fairly uncommon, primary forest species but certainly well in excess of 2,000 km2.
