Because it is a hill species the major forest conversion in Borneo occurs below this species range. RANGE DESCRIPTION This type locality of this species is Mt. Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. It probably also occurs on all of the central mountain range of Borneo, but this needs to be substantiated. DESCRIPTION This species is common in suitable habitat. HABITAT AND ECOLOGY This species is found in montane forests. THREATS It is threatened by small-scale agriculture for strawberries and potatoes. CONSERVATION ACTIONS It occurs in several protected areas across its range. |
