Range Description: Acisoma panorpoides is very widespread in Asia - until recently species from Madagascar and Africa were considered A. panorpoides as well, but proved to be several distinct species of their own.

Habitat and Ecology: This species occurs at a variety of freshwater habitats, including at well vegetated ponds, ditches, slow open sections of streams. It has been recorded at habitats within Oil Palm plantations.
