Habitat and Ecology: Acreichthys hajam is a demersal species, which has been collected near coral reef habitats (Situ and Sadovy 2004) and seagrass beds (K. Matsuura pers.comm. 2009). Many species of the family Monacanthidae are omnivorous and will feed on almost any food source.
