Geographic Range [top]
Range Description: The species was described from Yaylaymaw, Myanmar (Preston 1915), and has been recorded from an unknown location in Myanmar (Burma, and Upper Burma; Michigan Museum of Zoology, Mollusk Division Online Catalog). As the synonym (Brandt 1974: 63) B. tonkiniana, it has been reported from Tonkin (Viet Nam). Given that Brotia species have relatively small distributions in general, this synonymy has to be confirmed.
