Range Description: This species is endemic to the Philippines, where it has been recorded from the islands of Luzon, Polillo, Marinduque, Mindoro, Calotcot, Tablas, Sibuyan, Lubang, Camiguin Norte and Masbate (Brown and Alcala 1980). It ranges from close to sea level to about 800 m asl.

Habitat and Ecology: This species has been recorded from both primary and secondary tropical moist forest, and has also been within coconut groves and similar plantations. Animals seem to be largely terrestrial and are found in leaf litter, under rotting logs, and amongst similar ground cover (Brown and Alcala 1980).
