Range Description: The species is scattered throughout south-east China extending to Lai Chau in Viet Nam and Taibei and Ilan Counties in northern Taiwan.

Population: Uncommon and thought to be getting rarer. The subpopulation in Viet Nam is considered to be threatened and in Taiwan populations are highly localised and contain few individuals.
