Major Threat(s):
The species is vulnerable to water pollution and sedimentation, if like other Brotia species, it requires clean fast-flowing water. The known site is adjacent to a road and is popular with national and international tourists, which may contribute to the degradation of habitat, and sedimentation from agricultural development and deforestation are widespread in this region.
