Range Description: This species is known only from an area 1,830 m asl on Gunung Tambusisi, Sulawesi (Indonesia) (Musser and Carleton 2005). Although it is not impossible it may be shown to occur more widely with additional survey work in neighbouring ranges, the species is more than likely restricted to Tambusisi.

Population: It was reported to be common (Musser 1991), although the type series collected is small. There is no information on current population status.
