Its occurrence in Java remains uncertain as it has not been collected recently. It has been recorded at altitudes between 200 and 600 m asl, except for a record from the Kelabit Plateau at 1,100 m asl. More recently the species has been reported from Bukit Baka-Bukit Raya National Park (Iskandar, unpublished record).
